72nd Republic Day 26.01.2021 Celebration

 Dear Children

 As you are aware ‘Republic Day’ popularly known as ‘Ganatantra Divas‘ is celebrated every year on 26 January. India became a Republic on 26 January 1950. On 26 Jan 1950, the constitution of India was implemented in our country by removing the Government of India Act, 1935 since then every year on 26th January Republic Day is celebrated to honor the constitution and Republic of our country.

Celebration of this occasion annually helps youth children of the country to be aware of the significance of Indian constitution unity and integrity of this great Nation and also provides an opportunity to everyone to be patriotic towards their great Nation endowed with rich and varied heritage.



To celebrate the soul of “Republic Day” while adhering to COVID-19 protocols, Department of School Education and Literacy. Ministry of Education, Government of India in Association with Ministry of Defence shall conduct a quiz competition, an essay competition and a patriotic poetry competition for school children on my gov.in portal during the period 20 January to 30 January 2021 on the theme ‘Indian constitution struggle for freedom and barriers of Indian independence’.

National Youth Day 2021: Significance, History, Theme - All you need to know

National Youth Day is celebrated every year to honor the ideals and thoughts of Swami Vivekananda. Swami Vivekananda was very vocal about the importance of youth in the process of nation-building.

Born on 12th January 1863 in Kolkata, the spiritual thinker was unlike any other monk. What Swami Vivekananda achieved overseas played a major role in reviving India's image as a land of spirituality.

The speech he delivered at the at the Parliament of World's Religions in Chicago in 1893 which began with "Sisters and brothers of America" immortalized the ideals the monk believed in globally.

Proverb 1:  Might is right.

Hindi Equivalent:  जिसकी  लाठी  उसकी  भैंस.

Meaning:  जो  ताकतवर  होता  है  उसी  की  बात  माननी  पड़ती  है .


Proverb 2:  A fog cannot be dispelled by a fan .

Hindi Equivalent:  ओस  चाटने  से  प्यास  नहीं  बुझती .

Meaning:  बड़े  काम  के  लिए  बड़ा  प्रयत्न  करना  पड़ता  है .
